Giving
The word of God says the following about giving:
"Give, and it will be given to you. They will pour into your lap a good measure - pressed down, shaken together, and running over. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return."
(Luke 6: 38)
"Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."
(2 Corinthians 9: 7)
"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this, says the Lord of hosts, "If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows."
(Malachi 3: 10)
At Fountain Church, we teach our members to give according to the scriptures. As a result, our members have turned to become generous people. Giving is not only in monetary form. We teach and encourage believers that they can give anything that can contribute to the advancement of the Kingdom of God (money, material things as well as time).
Tithing (giving 10% of income) is a biblical principle. Some people who have understood the benefits giving and believe in grace giving give more than 10% because they have discovered that God is faithful to do what He has said He will do in His word.
Monetary gifts and offerings can be given by cheque, cash, debit or credit card or by setting up a Standing Order.
We request tax payers to fill and sign a Gift Aid Declaration or the Gift Aid section of the offering envelope in order to allow the church to claim a large percentage of their gift back from the government (HMRC).
